Extech MA61 Specifications:

The clamp meter is powered by two (2) AAA batteries. The battery compartment is located on the back of the meter. The battery compartment is secured by one Phillips head screw.

Battery Replacement

CAUTION: Please disconnect the test leads from the meter, turn the meter off, and unclamp the meter from any conductors before attempting to change the batteries.

1. When the low battery symbol appears on the LCD, the batteries must be replaced.

2. Turn the meter off and remove the rear battery compartment screw.

3. Lift off the battery compartment cover and replace the two 1.5V AAA cells observing correct polarity.

4. Replace the compartment cover and secure the screw before using the meter.

The HT Italia XL422 performs measurements and records TRMS AC current up to 2500A in a generic three phase 3-wire system.

Advanced Capabilities

The heart of the MA620 is an advanced digital multimeter. You can select auto- or manual-ranging and measurement functions cover all types of troubleshooting over and above noninvasive current probe measurements: voltage, resistance, capacitance, frequency, duty cycle, diode and continuity tests. Even measure temperature with the supplied Type K bead wire probe. For better diagnostics and troubleshooting, you can use one of several one-button functions: press HOLD to freeze a reading on the LCD; MAX/MIN tracks and display maximum and minimum values (useful for blind measurements); and REL activates Relative mode for “zeroing out” the meter, useful for improving the accuracy of DC current measurements. It can be very difficult to make accurate current and voltage readings in industrial and commercial applications when electronic devices are present. Fluorescent lights, motor drives, computer power supplies, and other electronic systems can distort the AC waveform, making it hard for averaging meters to get an accurate read. True RMS uses a more advanced formula to adjust for this kind of distortion.

The Extech MA410T 400 A AC True RMS Clamp Meter + NCV is used to quickly check for the presence of live wires before testing plus 40A and 400A current ranges. Made in such a way that the Extech MA-410T is compact in size, the user is able to put it to use even in the tightest of spaces and still get results. The Extech MA401T comes with test leads, a general purpose Type K bead wire temperature probe, two AAA batteries and a carrying case.

Data Hold

In the Inrush mode the meter waits until at least 5A is detected and then starts a 100ms sample window in which to capture an inrush current RMS value.

1. Press and hold the INRUSH button for > 2 seconds to access the Inrush Current mode.

2. The display will show the INRUSH icon.

3. When ready, take a current measurement. The meter will capture the highest reading detected during a 100ms window. Note that the 100ms window does not open until at least 5A is detected.

4. To exit the Inrush Current mode press the INRUSH button again momentarily. The INRUSH icon will switch OFF

Extech MA140 Volt‐Detection Feature

The meter’s audible beeper triggers and the display shows dashes when the meter senses an electrical voltage field. The higher the electrical field strength the greater the number of dashes displayed and the faster the rate of the audible beeps. If the meter does not emit a tone or display dashes in this mode, there is still the possibility that voltage is present. Please use caution.

Peak Hold
