Discover the FLIR CM83, a powerful 600A AC/DC clamp meter that offers advanced power analysis functions that add confidence when making measurements in environments where loads are using switching electronics such as variable frequency drives (VFDs) and today’s growing range of high efficiency lighting options. Designed by the leaders in innovation at FLIR Systems, the durable power clamp gets results on tough jobs. In addition to True RMS current and voltage measurements and other standard functions, the CM83’s VFD Mode leverages a low-pass filter that ensures accuracy even when distorted waveforms exist on electronic loads (such as VFD-controlled equipment). Power quality testing and load studies (to plan for future system-wide capacity) demands essential power measurement capabilities that set the FLIR CM83 power clamp meter apart from other test equipment. Measure power up to 600kW as well as Total Harmonic Distortion and harmonics to the 25th harmonic helping you find problems that could cause the malfunctioning, damage or failure of important components. The fast-responding in-rush current mode enables the meter to display the highest current reading in the first 100 milliseconds after the trigger point. Plus, use the app to share diagnostic results with colleagues or customers on-site or remotely—as primary readings or within professional-looking reports you can easily create. As part of the FLIR family, the innovative meter also communicates with METERLiNK-enabled FLIR IR cameras, helping you record electrical readings on thermal images in realtime. When you’re working on complex electrical, mechanical or pump systems for example, you want tools that can work together to gather and record all the relevant data—temperature and electrical together on one thermal image. For your day-to-day, this not only means adding time-savings, but it also ensures accurate, coordinated documentation for PdM inspection reports.</p>

The 4-digit, 4,000 count display is LED-illuminated making it bright and easy to read anywhere. Several one-button functions including data hold, min/max, and selectable auto- or manual-ranging. A relative function helps you &#8216;zero out&#8217; the meter. The large 37mm jaw opening handles conductors up to 1000 MCM.
