<p>The SEW 890PR Non-Contact Three Phase Sequence and Rotation Tester allows the verification of phase sequence without contacting live terminals<br />
Using non-contact inductive clips that allows the user to simply clip the sensors to the outside of each cable without removing the insulation.<br />
The SEW 890PR is used for detecting clockwise and counterclockwise phase sequence, as well as the presence or absence of phases.<br />

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The SEW 890PR Non-Contact Rotation and Three Phase Sequence Tester has the ability to measure without contacting any live parts. The user simply clamps the three clamps onto each cable over the insulation and reads the status by way of the adjustable intensity LED&#8217;s, allowing either indoor or outdoor use. On switch on the SEW 890PR will  perform an LED status test to ensure all LED&#8217;s are functioning correctly before use and it will power off after 5 minutes if not connected to a live circuit.</p>
<p>Once the SEW 890PR&#8217;s clamps are connected to the corresponding cables, the SEW 890PR will automatically display the presence of three phases on the three &#8220;power on&#8221; LED&#8217;s and will also display the direction of phase rotation with a clockwise or counterclockwise LED and a phase rotation map, showing the phase sequence.</p>
<p>An audible buzzer signals the user with an intermittent tone for clockwise rotation, and a continuous tone for counterclockwise (incorrect) rotation. The SEW 890PR has four built in magnets, located on the rear of the instrument to allow for it to be held on a metal surface (switchboard door etc.)to enable handsfree use.</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<h3>Extech 480403 Rotation Tester, Motor Phase</h3>
<p>The Extech 480403 phase sequence and motor rotation tester uses alligator clamps which can be used to check the phase rotation of a power supply and indicate whether each of the three phases are live or not. This will allow maintenance personnel to ensure that a motor being connected to the power supply will not be damaged or cause equipment damage by being started in the wrong direction.</p>
<p>The non-contact motor rotation feature of the Extech 480403 phase sequence and motor rotation tester allows the user to check the direction of motor rotation on a running motor by simply placing the meter in close proximity to the motor being checked with the same orientation as the easy-to-read schematic on the face of the meter. The rotation LEDs will then light up to indicate clockwise or counter clockwise rotation.</p>
<p>Can be used to determine the phase orientation of a three-phase power supply or the direction of rotation on a three-phase motor. The Extech 480403 phase sequence and motor rotation tester features a durable double molded housing and three large, wide jaw, colour-coded alligator clips, all with a CE CAT III-600V rating.</p>

<p>1. Turn on the meter by pressing ON/OFF key for at least 1s. Waiting for the standby mode when the green LED is blinking</p>
<p>2. Position the sensor close to or in contact with the point under test for a time &lt;5s, then verify that the red LED is on and buzzer sounds continuously as evidence of voltage detection. Do not perform test with the operator’s hand beyond the hand safety protection and position not insulated wires beyond the CAT IV reference mark (see part 2 of the picture above)</p>

<p>1. Switch on the instrument by pressing key<br />
2. Perform an initial test with meter on an energized circuit. Replace internal batteries if the red LED do not turn on and/or the buzzer do not sound<br />
3. Position the sensor close to or in contact with the point under test then verify that the red LED is on and buzzer sounds continuously as evidence of voltage detection. <strong>Do not perform test with the hand beyond the hand safety protection and do not allow insulated wires beyond the CAT IV reference mark (see part 2 of above picture)</strong><br />
4. If needed press key to turn on the white torch<br />
5. The instrument switch off automatically after 5 minutes of idleness</p>

<p>CAUTION For your own safety and to avoid damaging the instrument follow the procedures described in this instruction manual and read carefully all notes preceded by this symbol . When taking measurements:  Avoid doing that in humid or wet places. Avoid doing that in rooms where explosive gas, combustible gas, steam or excessive dust is present. Keep you insulated from the object under test. Do not touch exposed metal parts such as test lead ends, sockets, fixing objects, circuits etc.  Avoid doing that if you notice anomalous conditions such as breakages, deformations, fractures, leakages of battery liquid, blind display etc.  Be particularly careful when measuring voltages exceeding 20V to avoid risks of electrical shocks.</p>
<p>How to test the 3 phases of AC Let your crocodile clip clamp the 3-phase power terminal. In each test, hold the power button and check the indicators on the panel.  If L1, L2 and L3 are lit, it means normal. (In this case, skip to step 2.) If one of them remains unlit, L1 for example, it means the wire for L1 is disconnected or in power failure mode. You may check visually or with a multimeter if the wire is connected well.</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<h4 class="title">How to use Reed R5004 Motor Rotation Tester</h4>
<p><strong>Determining the Rotary Field Direction</strong><br />
Make sure the L1,L2, and L3 test leads are connected to the corresponding input jacks. Connect the test probes to the other end of the test leads. Connect the test probes to the three main phases. Press the ON/OFF button. The green ON indicator shows that the instrument is ready for testing. Either the Clockwise or Counter Clockwise Rotary indicator will illuminate showing the type of rotary field direction present. The rotary indicator will light up even if the neutral conductor, N, is connected instead of the test lead input jack. See Phase Indication Table for more information (User manual).</p>
<p><strong>Determining the Motor Connection</strong><br />
Connect one end of the test leads to the unit and the alligator clamps to the other end of the test leads. Connect the alligator clamps to the motor connections.Press the ON/OFF button. The green ON indicator shows that the instrument is ready for testing. Turn the motor shaft half a revolution towards the right. The bottom of this unit should be oriented towards the drive shaft. Either the Clockwise or Counter Clockwise Rotary indicator will illuminate showing the type of rotary field direction present.</p>
<p><strong>Non-contact Rotary Field Indication</strong><br />
Put the Motor Rotation Tester on the motor so that it is parallel to the length of the motor shaft. The unit should be one inch or closer to the motor, and the bottom of the unit should be oriented towards the drive shaft. Press the ON/OFF button. The green ON indicator shows that the instrument is ready for testing. Either the Clockwise or Counter Clockwise Rotary indicator will illuminate showing the type of rotary field direction present.</p>
<p><strong>Magnetic Field Detection</strong><br />
To detect a magnetic field, place this unit to a solenoid valve. A magnetic field is present if either the Clockwise or the Counter Clockwise Rotary indicator illuminates.</p>
